blogheads want beauty

Salam blog heads.

How much do you think an average woman would spend on her beauty and for the sake of looking good?
A whole damn lot.
To what extent do you think, they will go just to make sure they look picture perfect?
As far as they can go.
How insecure are we women with ourselves?
very, very, very insecure.

I spend my money on things like blouses, skirts, and pants.
I bought every scarf that I think would look good on me.
I would spend hours and hours picking out my outfit for class *during certain days.
I would look at every single mirror that I can find.
I squirm at the pimples that popped on my face.
I cried for those fats and cellulite that I have.
I hate myself sometimes for not looking as good as those people on magazines and tv.

But wait, lets hit the pause button.

No matter how hard you try to look as perfect as you can be,
No one would look like those people on tv in daily life. *well, unless if you're blessed with amazing genes from both side of the family.
No matter how many you spend your money in buying those clothes, *a note to myself* it would never be enough to satisfy your hunger.
I need to stop crying at those fats that I have, and start to workout more.
and I have to learn to love myself, no, we women have to learn the correct ways to love ourselves.

Don't believe those advertisements that you saw on tv, those are fake ideologies that try to sell beauty and sex to their firm believers. We are bombarded with these ideas that what they are displaying on the tv screen are those 'things' that we have to be, thus beauty company score, we the buyers, zero.

I am telling my girls to be happy with themselves, and treasure yourself.
But, here am I, unsatisfied with my weight and every single thing where the word beauty involves.
But if there's a single advice that I can tell myself and my lovelies,
try to please yourself, and not others. Because, to please the people surrounding you, is a work that would never have it's ends meet.
